Today, Microsoft announced an exciting new addition to their suite of productivity tools – Microsoft 365 Copilot. This innovative solution harnesses the power of large language models, combined with data from the Microsoft Graph and the Microsoft 365 apps, to provide a seamless and intelligent experience for users. Copilot is seamlessly integrated into Microsoft 365 in two ways: as an embedded feature in popular applications like Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Teams, and through Business Chat, which works in real-time across all Microsoft 365 apps and data, including calendars, emails, chats, documents, meetings, and contacts.
One of the key advantages of Copilot is that it automatically inherits all of the security, compliance, identity, and privacy policies and processes of the organisation’s Microsoft 365 environment. This means that features such as two-factor authentication, compliance boundaries, and privacy protections are already in place, making Copilot a trustworthy AI solution for businesses.
